Feedback from the industry
regarding the strong theoretical but weak practical skills of MBA graduates has brought
about the EL programme in the present batch. Despite the predominant use of the case
method as a mean to living real life management problems into the classroom, learning
remains an abstraction unless participants are exposed to practical aspects of industry.
The EL programme provides participants the opportunity to observe business process in
working organization in and around Indore. Furthermore, EL allows participants to strong
touch with industry needs. And thus, upon graduation they do not come to rediscover the
EL is useful for participants without prior work experience and for those who have worked earlier. For the freshers, it acts
as a first time industrial exposure. For those with prior experience, EL provides an
exposure across various functional areas and enhances their understanding of an
organization as an integrated entity. This helps in building relationships with companies
in and around Indore, thus lays foundation for synergy between local industries and IMS.
